I’ve started with warmer tones on the bottom and worked my way to cooler tones towards the tip. See how this one works out 🙂

I think I’m going to have 3 sized A3, 3 sized A4, then a really long one (depending on finding said paper size)

One problem when being an artist is knowing when to stop.
Should I have stopped before adding the splatter? Should I have added more?
I feel fairly happy with it. What do you guys think?
I may do more with a different colours and compositions. It can be my ‘Fly Away Collection’ 🙂

What a Pair
I’ve been asked if I could do another painting to match the previous venetian door I had done before… for the next day. NO PRESSURE O_O”
This is my first stage and I can already tell it won’t be as good as the previous one. I’ve basically just mirrored what I did before and tried to use different colours. Not too different that they don’t match but enough to know they are not the same door.
Oh well, onwards and upwards!

Finally added a bit of colour 🙂 Never been a fan of the monochrome look.
I think it still needs some details added to make it look ‘bushier’.

I did a step by step tutorial for this one – thank you Jean Haines – as I’ve never tried to paint a building before. All those straight lines….
So I ended up with this watery/misty mess of somewhere in Venice. Definite room for improvement you see.
Perhaps no tutorials and just wing it?
