One problem when being an artist is knowing when to stop.
Should I have stopped before adding the splatter? Should I have added more?
I feel fairly happy with it. What do you guys think?
I may do more with a different colours and compositions. It can be my ‘Fly Away Collection’ 🙂

That’s especially true in watercolor where you can’t go back and change things. I think the spatter was a beautiful addition. Very nice!

Beautiful work! Even your sketchbook makes me jealous! The splatter is great and I have a good rule for you that I try to follow no matter what medium I’m working in; when you feel that a piece is about 80% complete, you’re probably finished. Think about it. The splatter is great but too much might have overpowered the feathers. Every artist probably second guesses their original work, but when you start wondering if something is done, its usually at a point where it will stand on its own as is. All of your works are very clean and neat and beautiful, to me anyway.
