Gathering

Twitter2822162_jpg

With this one I tried to create a stand-alone image. It’s abstract so totally up to the viewer to interpret what it is.

I’ve tried to make it roughly symmetrical in composition to make it… I don’t know, easier to look at? haha

I’ve created denser more angular shapes – it makes me think of something sinister when looking at it. Hopefully the ‘faded’ circles surrounding it softens the image a bit.

Wadaya think? 🙂

Toxic Fumes

Still doodling away 🙂 Planning to put a little bottle of poison underneath this one.

Still not sure where I’m going with these, but I guess that’s all part of the journey, haha.
I want to show progression and create something more interesting… So I will be focusing on composition for the next few doodles; the amount of white space I leave, it’s trail across the page and the density, shape and atmosphere created from the clusters.

Any suggestions welcome! 😀

Magicians’ Hat

Seem to be creating a collection of these 🙂

Not sure how to develop it further… I think one more to make a nice rounded 4 then move on to something else – but what?

I’ve noticed I have done nothing but pen work in 2015 so far, not a single splash of colour! What’s going on?! Perhaps colouring these in over the weekend? I’m a little unsure whether to or not – I don’t want to ruin them.

Ideas people! 😀

Birds of a Feather

Sorry for the long absence, I’ve relocated home and job so things have been hectic. I’ve finally unpacked my art boxes so I’m hoping to be back in the swing of it soon enough. My creative itch has finally been scratched 😀

Carrying on the ‘Fly Away’ theme/collection, I’ve done this quick pen drawing – it’s been drawn to death I know but I wanted to work out a composition and make a colourful watercolour version with my usual drips and splatter to make it my own.

Would do you think? What else could I do to personalise this a bit more?

Doodle

Doodle

Totally stole this idea from an artist called Michelle Rummel. (apologies if spelt wrong)
This is just an initial doodle – going to play around with some watercolour later 🙂 #GrowJune
I’m thinking of adding many, many more leaves.
Suggestions?

Flower Doodle 2

Flower Doodle 2

Hmmmm… I think I got a little lazy with this one! 😀 #GrowJune
When I get home I might add some watercolour to the first flower doodle. I’ve seen ink and water drawings/paintings (what would you class them as?!) and the ones I have seen have look pretty darn gorgeous.
I guess you can judge after my next blog update 😉

New Month which means new trend on twitter.
June is #GrowJune, so here is my first installment 🙂

This is just a little painting I did playing with water and salt. I really liked how the orange bled and the the tones and texture created – so I kept it.
